Qualitative Community <\/span>Insights<\/span> from<\/span> SKOPOS EXPLORERS<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/div><\/section>

There’s<\/span> still <\/span>more<\/span> room<\/span> for<\/span> reusable<\/span> …<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>\n

Since<\/span> the<\/span> beginning<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> year<\/span>, <\/span>reusable<\/span> containers<\/span> have<\/span> been<\/span> mandatory<\/span>: <\/span>coffee-to-go<\/span> and <\/span>take-away<\/span> food<\/span> must<\/span> be<\/span> offered<\/span> in <\/span>reusable<\/span> containers<\/span>. <\/span>Together<\/span> with<\/span> the<\/span> mystery<\/span> researchers<\/span> from<\/span> SKOPOS NEXT<\/a>, <\/span>we<\/span> investigated<\/span> how<\/span> well<\/span> known<\/span> the<\/span> mandatory<\/span> reusable<\/span> containers<\/span> are<\/span> and <\/span>how<\/span> popular<\/span> they<\/span> are<\/span>.<\/span> The SKOPOS NEXT <\/span>team<\/span> sent<\/span> out <\/span>its<\/span> testers<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0At <\/span>the<\/span> same time, <\/span>we<\/span> also <\/span>asked<\/span> our<\/span> own SKOPOS qualitative <\/span>community<\/span>, <\/span>the<\/span> SKOPOS EXPLORERS<\/a>. The <\/span>result<\/span>: <\/span>many<\/span> exciting<\/span> insights<\/span> from<\/span> the<\/span> exchange<\/span> with<\/span> a total <\/span>of<\/span> 120 <\/span>participants<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>majority<\/span> of<\/span> respondents<\/span> has<\/span>\u00a0heard<\/span> about<\/span> the<\/span> mandatory<\/span> reusable<\/span> packaging<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> catering<\/span> industry<\/span> through<\/span> the<\/span> media<\/span>. <\/span>However<\/span>, <\/span>only<\/span> a <\/span>few<\/span> have<\/span> encountered<\/span> it<\/span> in <\/span>everyday<\/span> practice<\/span>. Even <\/span>if<\/span> the<\/span> topic<\/span> is<\/span> known<\/span>, <\/span>customers<\/span> do not <\/span>feel<\/span> sufficiently<\/span> informed<\/span> about<\/span> their<\/span> rights<\/span> regarding<\/span> the<\/span> reusable<\/span> packaging<\/span> obligation<\/span>. <\/span>Concrete<\/span> advice<\/span> on <\/span>implementation<\/span> and a <\/span>proactive<\/span> offer<\/span> in <\/span>the<\/span> catering<\/span> trade <\/span>are<\/span> called<\/span> for<\/span>. The <\/span>respondents<\/span> also <\/span>make<\/span> further<\/span> suggestions<\/span> on <\/span>the<\/span> subject<\/span>: <\/span>disposable<\/span> packaging<\/span> should<\/span> be<\/span> environmentally<\/span> friendly<\/span>, <\/span>bringing<\/span> your<\/span> own <\/span>packaging<\/span> should<\/span> be<\/span> permitted<\/span>, and <\/span>the<\/span> reusable<\/span> system<\/span> should<\/span> be<\/span> standardized<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
