SKOPOS Team Sailing 2008 Sailing is a matter of teamwork! A group of people is based on limited space and has to get along with each other. The activities of several persons must be coordinated tactically to get from A to B. It doesn’t work if people are left on their own. The journey is the destination. The parallels to working life are unmistakable and the SKOPOS management quickly agreed that a joint sailing weekend represents a meaningful team-building measure, and the solid ground was traded against the cooling waters of the marker sea. On the first weekend in June, the "te kaihau”, a Bavaria 37, was chartered with the starting point Lelystad. During the preparation phase we learned the basics of sailing while completing a presentation training at the same time. During the three-day sailing trip to the old Hanseatic city of Hoorn, we learned to not only control a boat, to stay on track and fetch buoys back on board, but could also prove the togetherness in an entirely different environment than usual.
