Organizational Research

Organizational research focuses on internal processes and internal organizational issues. Furthermore, aspects of quality assurance are also evaluated.

Employee surveys, often followed by implementation consulation, are a particularly sensitive area of research. An employee survey generally does not pass the company without a trace. The mere fact that a staff survey is planned or is taking place, usually sets intra-organizational processes in motion:

Employee representatives will be consulted and involved. The workers are concerned about content and - more importantly - about the consequences that the employee survey could have for the company and for them personally. The question of anonymity in this context is very central and must be answered reliably. And the management - usually the client of an employee survey - is often already sensitized about the climate within the workforce prior to the survey.

For this reason, the issue of accompanying communications in connection with employee surveys plays a particularly important role. In all phases of the research process, the communication with staff should be soughted for and used. SKOPOS already conducted employee surveys in a variety of companies under widely varying conditions and can therefore provide the best solution for your company.

The substantive issues in employee surveys are usually very different.

SKOPOS distinguishes the following areas:

  • Opinion polls: "upward communication" - learn to understand employees
  • Feedback-climate surveys: improving quality, climate and commitment, eliminate any weaknesses (with benchmarks)
  • Evaluation surveys: Accompanying and final evaluation (formative and summative evaluation) of internal activities and processes
  • Multi-level surveys (180º, 270º, 360º): Management and workers receive systematic feedback (customer survey / staff / supervisors)
  • Integration in management systems (TQM, Balanced Scorecard, EFQM, AEMP): Measuring soft factors, compare with other results. Measures of quality management.

Therefore, SKOPOS tailors each individual employee survey to the specific client needs. We have a scientifically sound, standardized set of survey content, for which comparable figures from existing employee surveys can be delivered. Thus, the possibility of benchmarking is given.

Continuous employee surveys have the advantage that the internal climate is always monitored. On the one hand, this is a way of testing whether measures and changes took effect as desired. On the other hand, emerging tensions and uncertainties are identified early in the workforce in order to control them.

Often the results of an employee survey indicate structural deficits in individual organizational units or the organization as a whole. SKOPOS also offers implementation advice:

This includes the presentation of specific results in individual organizational units and workshops, in which weaknesses are revealed and concrete improvements are suggested.
